While in the application process you MAY NOT start any wars, if you do so you will be denied.

You must read every single question carefully. DO NOT simply skim through the questions.

We expect activity out of our applicants. If you go more than 24 hours without answering a question you will be rejected.

What made you want to join BK? Why did you leave GPWC?

I joined PnW to be a part of a community in the larger PnW community; to participate in major events in the game, and to have fun. I don't want to take myself or my nation too seriously, but I don't want to waste my time in PnW either. BK is a major player in PnW, and your community seems mildly silly and fun. That is exactly the kind of community that I want to be a part of.

GPWC-wise, I joined GPWC to complete my objectives. I left when I realized that GPWC was running a 100/100 tax rate, milking all of their new players. I didn't want my growth to depend solely on GPWC giving me money.

Would you be alright with a 60/60 tax rate during peacetime, with all the money and resources reimbursed to you to fund cities all the way to your 16th city and in war aid?

Right now we are at 100% taxes because of the war, and I'm assuming that's also why GPWC is at that rate as well, but you can ask Economics to give you an exception and plenty of resources for the war in return.

If not, then maybe BK isn't the right place for you.

No, my apologies, that makes sense. No need for exceptions. I had read some stuff about GW14 on the PnW wiki, the war I believe you refer to, but I hadn't connected the dots to GPWC as they aren't listed as a party.

On a separate note, I was attacked by a nation; https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=180774

I countered the nation. Do I need to seek peace?

GPWC is an extension to NPO. NPO has a history long before P&W in other nation building browser games, and they just called everyone that they have across all their other platforms to join P&W, creating that huge alliance.

You should be able to win your war. You can do whatever you want, but we will have to wait until it is over if the interview is finished so that we can accept you.

Are you familiar with Discord? If so, what is your username and ID?

Will you be able to check Discord and the forums at least once a day?

I do use Discord, and I can keep up to date on Discord and this forum. It's worth a mention, too, that I am going to battle the nation that attacked me.

I knew GPWC was a protectorate of NPO, but I was under the impression that GPWC had been independently formed. That's a cool dynamic, though. Is that the case with some of the other big alliances, too? I know I have seen WTF running an ad about their formation on cybernations, iirc.

What time zone do you live in? By knowing when you're most likely going to be online, it will help us coordinate events and wars.

BK has reached the top by having a strong community of active individuals. We expect high levels of activity from new members in order to ensure strong performance. We place the alliance above self, and in return we make sure everyone is taken care of. Are you okay with this?

BK is a meritocracy, so we like to encourage and reward members to contribute to the alliance by getting a job in a department. We have several entry-level positions to choose from within our departments. Which sounds the most interesting to you?

  • IA Staff - the Internal Affairs department has several positions available based on rank. IA Staff is the easiest entry-level position where you can start working yourself up. Duties include: contributing to the activity of the alliance by posting discussion topics and coming up with events, assisting leadership with the applicant interviews, recruiting and other activities as you progress. IA staff is the backbone of BK, and your hard work becomes the basis of our community. Join this if you want to have a lasting imprint on the culture of BK.
  • Diplomat Corps - the public face of the alliance. Diplomats represent the alliance in other Discord channels and are responsible for reporting weekly to the FA Office. Join the FA staff if you want to represent BK abroad, and increase our external prestige.
  • Economics Staff - Econ is responsible for maintaining and creating a budget to align with BK goals, building and maintaining a war chest for the alliance to use during fights on global or small scales, trading resources to help BK profit over time, and training with other new members of economics. Econ requires a bit more specialized knowledge and people wishing to join will have to enter Economics University to learn more about the game's mechanics. Join Econ if you want to make BK more prosperous, increasing the size of all BK nations.
  • Education, Development, and Optimization (EDO) – EDO is responsible for ensuring that members have optimal builds and are complying with alliance-wide resource and military mandates. They additionally help mentor new members. EDO is also responsible for visual graphics and ads that we use to broadcast our alliance’s message to Orbis. If you are interested in making BK stronger from within or producing propaganda for BK’s cause, EDO is for you.

BK runs a command economy and military. Our success comes from teamwork and sacrifice. You may be ordered to attack a target larger than you or build a city in a set period of time. What would you do if you disagree with these orders?

If, at any point, another officer joins; start over.

First, I would take the order of the higher ranking officer.

Second, I would take the order of the more senior officer in their rank.

Third, I would take the order of the more senior officer in the alliance.

Fourth, I would take the order given most recently.

Finally, if all else has failed, I would disregard any contradicting orders from participating officers; this is because command failed. I would either: respect the command of the next-highest-ranking officer; or, if I were that officer, take command of myself and any subordinates and commit to preserving or strengthening our standing.

That said, if we make it to #3, there's a serious command problem. If we pass #3, you're looking at a "coup d'état." So the first two decisions are probably the only important ones. :)
